Nestled within the lush jungle of Tulum and just steps away from a natural cenote, this residence harmoniously blends with its surroundings through the use of exposed concrete, local woods, and regional stone. The design seeks a balance between contemporary architecture and organic expression, offering an immersive experience deeply connected to nature.
The house unfolds in an L-shaped layout, a gesture that optimizes the site and creates visual connections to the vegetation from every angle. On the main façade, a sculptural circular staircase becomes the architectural focal point, defining the building’s identity and vertical movement.
Inside, a double-height living area enhances spatial continuity and allows abundant natural light and cross ventilation. Each bedroom enjoys private views of the surrounding greenery, complemented by terraces that extend the living experience outdoors.
The social areas are designed to encourage both gathering and contemplation: a garden with a pool on the ground level acts as a serene retreat, while a rooftop terrace with a second pool offers panoramic views of the jungle and sunset horizons.
The result is a residence conceived as a sculptural object immersed in nature, where materiality, light, and landscape coexist in harmony—creating a timeless retreat that celebrates the essence of Tulum’s natural beauty.
